Day 1. Hanoi – Hoa Lu, Tam Coc – Hang Mua (L, D)

7.15-7.45 pickup at your hotel in Hanoi city center and depart to Ninh Binh, located in the marshy Red River delta, featuring a network of waterways coupled with spectacular limestone formations rising up from rice paddy fields. Spend one hour visiting the Dinh and Le temples of the Ancient Capital Hoa Lu which are dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the founders of the ancient capital during the 10th century.

Continue to Tam Coc and have lunch at a restaurant. Check in your hotel room.
Then boarding a small sampan to visit Tam Coc which means literally “Three Caves”. With Halong type views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious yet inviting caves, as well as countryside sights like peaceful streams, rice paddies and deserted green fields.

Then leave for Mua Cave (Hang Mua). Walk up about 500 steps, you can reach the top of lying dragon mountain & have an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc from above (Hang Mua peak).

Have dinner and overnight at hotel in Ninh Binh.

Day 2. Thung Nham – Bich Dong – Thai Vi (B, L)

Morning breakfast at hotel/bungalow then be ready for the trip
08.30: Tour guide picks you up then cycle to visit the Thai Vi temple and Bich Dong pagoda.

11.30: Check out and have lunch at a restaurant. Then continue to Thung Nham bird valley. Get on a small sampan to discover Hang But (Buddhist Cave), about 500m in length, a magical view of the stalactites and stalagmites, and see a big Buddha-shaped stalactite sitting beside an underground river, as well as visit an orchard of tropical fruits in this area. The best time for the bird park in the afternoon, sit quietly on a boat and slowly paddle through Thung Chim (Thung Nham), observe the most features of this area with more than 4,000 birds of 40 species flying to inhabit everyday. Your best chance to take nice photos and immerse yourself in the wild and nature.

16.00: Get on the bus to return to Hanoi. Finish the tour at your hotel around 18.30.

**This day 2 can be alternatively a trip to Bai Dinh pagoda & Trang An complex or Cuc Phuong national park.
