Travel Style:
Trip length:

Escape the crowds and cruise the quieter, more pristine waters of Bai Tu Long Bay aboard the boutique Red Dragon Cruise.

With just a handful of cabins, this junk offers an intimate experience—rich wood interiors, cozy dining, panoramic sundecks, and attentive service. Over two days, you’ll glide past dramatic limestone karsts, explore hidden lagoons and Thien Canh Son Cave, kayak through tranquil bays, visit a floating fishing village, swim on a private beach, and enjoy fresh seafood meals right on deck. Sunrise Tai Chi, cooking demonstrations, and optional squid fishing round out the experience. Ideal for travelers who want to immerse themselves in a slower-paced, more secluded side of Vietnam’s World Heritage seascape without sacrificing comfort.

  • Small-scale, high-comfort cruising in Bai Tu Long Bay off the beaten path.
  • Boutique wooden junk with about 5 deluxe cabins, handcrafted details, and a cozy atmosphere.
  • Kayaking and tender-boat exploration of hidden lagoons and the geological park in Cong Dam.

What to Expect

  • An upscale but intimate cruise experience, ideal for travelers who prefer quiet and quality over crowds.
  • Beautiful wooden interiors and thoughtful design, giving a warm, handcrafted feel in a small-group setting.
  • Great balance between exploration (kayaking, caves, floating village visits) and downtime (sun-deck lounging, swimming, dining aboard).
  • Personalized service and flexibility: slower pace, chance to linger in peaceful spots, and high staff attention per guest.
  • Overnight anchorage in calmer bay areas, often away from heavily trafficked tourist routes.

Note

  • Cruise schedule is weather- and tide-dependent. Kayaking or cave visits may be changed or canceled based on conditions.
  • Because the boat is relatively small and intimate, booking ahead is strongly advised, especially in peak seasons.

  • If you prefer a slower pace, this cruise is well suited to more relaxed travel styles: let your guide know if you’d rather linger in a lagoon than rush to the next stop.
