ITINERARY
Day 1. Hanoi - Mai Chau - Pu Luong (L, D)
- 07:00 – Pick-up from Hanoi Old Quarter and drive ~3.5 hours to Mai Chau Valley. Short break at Thung Khe Pass on the way.
- Arrive in Mai Chau, the cultural heart of the Thai ethnic group. Enjoy a traditional lunch in a stilt house and a short rest.
- Begin a cycling tour through fields and villages, discovering the unique lifestyle of the White Thai people. Visit local brocade workshops and browse handmade souvenirs.
- Climb Chieu Cave (Thousand Steps Cave) for panoramic valley views.
- 17:00 – Transfer by bus to Pu Luong Nature Reserve.
- 18:30 – Check-in at the lodge, have dinner, and relax.
Day 2. Pu Luong – Rafting & Hieu Waterfall (B, L, D)
- 08:00–08:30 – Transfer to Lan Village. Visit a Thai family, learn silk weaving, and try weaving your own piece.
- Continue to Chieu Lau Village to see traditional farming and ancient waterwheels.
- 10:00 – Scenic 4 km trek to Cham Stream, stopping at a local house for tea and cultural exchange.
- 10:45 – Enjoy a peaceful bamboo rafting trip, then savor a delicious floating lunch surrounded by nature.
- Visit Hieu Waterfall for relaxation and optional swimming.
- 16:30 – Return to your lodge to enjoy the pool and dinner.
Day 3. Pu Luong – Cycling, Cooking Class & Buffalo Ride (B, L)
- 08:00–08:30 – Head to the scenic Bamboo Bridge over the Ma River. Cycle through Chieng Ai Village, visit local homes, learn how rice wine is made, and enjoy tastings.
- Join a cooking class and share a family-prepared lunch.
- Experience a traditional buffalo cart ride, a charming farewell to rural life.
- 13:00–13:30 – Depart Pu Luong for the ride back to Hanoi or onward trip to Ninh Binh.
- 18:30–19:00 – Arrive in Hanoi.
